Haters gonna hate

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag, drifting through the wind, wanting to start again? Well I know I do. But then I remember that whoever says nasty stuff is probably just jealous or self conscious. Many will say 'you just have to ignore it,' but it gets too hard sometimes right? Well here's what I think.

Firstly, never ever say anything back unless you're sure that it's gonna nail them to the floor. Quick responses are a practiced thing. It's better to just say 'I didn't ask for your opinion' and walk off, rather than get caught in the middle of something you're likely to lose. You don't want anything you've said to come back and bite you in return so keep it short and sweet. By doing that you're simply shutting them down all together.

Secondly, never engage in physical fighting. It's stupid and risky to do things like that. Take the high road my friends. It's all round better than loosing a fight to some dork who thinks they're tough. I can tell you something, they're not. Anyone who fights is a coward, because they're too scared to use their words and would rather use their hands to hurt you. They will try to do this because they know they are not as intelligent as you to affect you with their own words! If they try to hurt you with both words and physical action, they are just aggressive people who you probably shouldn't engage with them. Be polite and do everything to make minimal contact. Don't forget, you have to remember to treat others like you would like to be treated.

Thirdly, if anyone is giving you grief, you have to remember words are just words. You can't let it get to you. Constructive criticism is a different concept where someone is trying to help you grow, but bullies will try to tear you down. You can't allow them to do so. What I like to do when someone tries to tear me down is flourish in their presence. I don't engage, but instead I just look like I'm having a good time. If they see that they aren't getting to you then I can almost guarantee they will stop. What's the point of doing something over and over again if it's not working anyway?

To conclude this anti-bullying speech, I just want to say that if you can't handle what you are receiving, then go speak to someone who can help you. Help is everywhere. Don't ever let it get to the point where you consider harming yourself in misery. Just remember there's always another way.

Much love,
