How to dress to impress

I can assure you that this is the most important thing I will ever write to you about. Dressing to impress is something I try to do often as possible. Everyday is a different scenario (usually) which means that everyday your look should be different. Here's how I do it.

Firstly, what I find is so important (especially if you don't have a huge wardrobe) is that you have to remember what outfit you wore and when you wore it. I try my absolute hardest to never wear the same thing in front of people who have already seen it. By doing that I keep it fresh and hot so that I turn heads when I walk into the room. It's okay to reuse something you've already used but not the whole outfit honey. Switch up your outfit pairings for a 'new look.' You want people to remember you as someone with good taste and good style. Not some one with good taste but the SAME style. That's a no no honey boo.

Secondly, the actual outfit choice is so important. There are so many risks with pairing plaid on plaid and denim on denim. I, myself, am a huge fan of denim on denim but you have to make sure you're getting the right wash. I can't explain to you how ugly black denim jeans would look with a light wash denim jacket. Light wash looks good with another light wash piece. Plaid on plaid however, I just hate all together. Get a good back pack and you're all set.

Thirdly and finally, make sure however you dress suits your body type and who you are. Don't wear things that don't suit your skin tone or your features. Wearing black if you're pale is just a recipe for disaster. Work with what you've got and embrace who you are. Keep your style natural and authentic to you. I am all for authentic dressing. I like to dress so that I look unique and by unique I don't mean crazy but I mean not dressing like every other person you will meet. I love being daring with my looks and you shouldn't be afraid to either. Don't let anyone else tell you how to dress unless they are telling you if it's smart casual or formal. You don't wanna show up in a baggy hoodie to a ball now do you? No, the answer is no.

There you have it. A simple guide from me that can almost immediately improve your outfits all together. Remember to be true to who you are but if who you are doesn't suit you clothing wise then for sure hit up a good trendy clothing shop. Tell whoever is working there what you like and listen to what they think. Meet in the middle and I think you'll have a match made in heaven. I love you dolls so much and I'm so excited to show you everything else I've been working on!!!

Much love,

-Sam
